At the Conclusion of the Event, the consultancy firm THRENDS, specializing in analysis and business intelligence within the Hospitality Real Estate sector, presented an exclusive preview of the "Luxury Hospitality Report - Italy 2024." This report has been monitoring the luxury segment in Italy for the past five years, providing data and insights on key metrics such as volumes, hotel chains and brands, revenues, profitability, transactions, and CapEx. According to THRENDS' continuous monitoring, between 2013 and 2023, the supply of 5-star hotels in Italy grew at an average annual rate of 3.7%, while demand in the segment increased by 3.4% per year. In 2024 alone, 24 new hotels are expected to open, bringing the total supply to 710 hotels, with approximately 47,300 keys. The supply of 5-star hotels is expected to continue growing in the coming years. Between 2025 and 2028, 127 new hotels are currently in the pipeline, with 40 of them located in key destinations such as Rome, Milan, Venice, Forte dei Marmi, and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Numerous international brands are set to make their debut in Italy, including Thompson, Baccarat, Orient Express, Only You, Kimpton, Art'otel, Nobu, Ritz-Carlton, Auberge Resorts Collection, Corinthia, Cheval Blanc, Langham, and many others.
