The inaugural edition for the award for Italian hospitality excellence will take place in Milan.

These are the numbers for the Best Luxury Hotel Awards’ first edition, the new recognition of the Italian hospitality excellence conceived and organized by Teamwork Hospitality with the contribution of Elle Decor and EHMA’s (European Hotel Manager Association).
Officially announced in January 2024, the event has received over 200 applications to date, representing more than 30% of Italy's luxury 5-star hotels.
The ten categories include best service, restaurant, bar, breakfast, spa & wellness, sustainability, technology, design, new opening, and general manager. Among these, the best general manager and best service categories have attracted the most interest.
In over 20 years, the growth of the 5-star offering in Italy has been approximately 250%, thanks to new international players who have invested in the national territory, such as Baccarat, Corinthia, Cheval Blanc, The Ritz Carlton, and Airelles.

“The Best Luxury Hotel Awards celebrates Italian hospitality excellence in all its aspects, from the best guest service to the best technological innovation. An initiative that arises within the framework of a larger project that also includes Teamwork's organization of the Luxury Hospitality Conference, the first event in Italy dedicated to luxury in the hospitality sector, now in its fourth edition." The award, which was created to certify the crown jewel of the Italian destinations, aims to become an annual recognition for distinguished luxury accommodations facilities offering an exceptional experience to guests.
Following the initial jury meeting on June 27th in Milan, a second meeting is planned for July 30th. The 10 winners will be awarded at the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan on the evening of September 25th, 2024.
The event will be hosted by journalist and entrepreneur Cristina Parodi.
