ITHIC 2024 concluded last Friday in Rome, with the participation of 1.047 delegates from Europe, the USA, and Asia, representing a total of 18 countries. This edition, significantly more international than previous ones, was once again organized by Teamwork Hospitality. It featured the exceptional presence of some of the most authoritative voices in the fields of investment, management, and the institutional system of Rome, including Mayor Gualtieri, Councillor Onorato, and Hon. Caramanna.
On the management front, this edition featured the participation of prominent figures such as Sir Rocco Forte, Elisabetta Fabri (CEO of Starhotels), Giorgio Marchegiani (CEO of Unahotels), Gabriele Burgio (CEO of Alpitour), Sara Digiesi (CEO of Best Western), Liliana Comitini (CEO of B&B Hotels), Stefano de Santis (CEO of Aries Group), and many others. There was also a significant presence of institutions connected to the world of finance and investment, including ICE, Invitalia, BCE.
Participants focused particularly on forecasting analyses (from STR Global, HOSTATS, Oxford Economics, and THRENDS) and the dynamics of new hotel products and their hybridization (Campus X, Yellow Square, Numa, limehome). The two-day event also saw the launch of several new reports curated by THRENDS, such as the Senior Living Market Report, Luxury Hospitality Report 2024, and India Incoming Italia. Investment funds with a major focus on this asset class were present, including Bain Capital, Covivio, Limestone Capital, Omnam, Smeralda Holding, HIP Blackstone, Azora, Algebris, Aermont Capital, and many more.

The sixth edition of ITHIC was marked by the introduction of the first Hotel Chains Award, which recognized hotel chains that have demonstrated the largest scale and greatest growth over the past decade. Notably, the following awards were presented: Numa won the award for «Largest Hotel Chain in the Economy & Hybrid segment»; B&B Hotels received the award for «Largest Hotel Chain in the Midscale segment»; BWH Hotels won the award for «Largest Hotel Chain in the Upscale segment»; Marriott International was awarded «Largest Hotel Chain in the Luxury segment»; TH Resorts received the award for «Fastest Growing Italian Hotel Chain (2015 – Sept. 2024)»; B&B Hotels also won the award for «Fastest Growing International Hotel Chain (2015 – Sept. 2024)»; Amapa Group was recognized as the «Italian Hotel Chain with the Largest Pipeline»; Marriott International won again for «International Hotel Chain with the Largest Pipeline».
